I know it's been awhile, but let me tell you what I'M doing. I'm selling! If you did what I said, you started buying silver @ $18. You continued to buy on the way down until you ran out of money. I am about to begin my exit. with gold @ it's "all-time high" of around $1250/oz and silver about to hit $20/oz, there WILL BE a consolidation, and why not take advantage of it? I am going to sell about a third of my holdings @ $20/oz. If it goes to $21, I'll sell another third. If it hits $22, I'll sell the rest...and be poised for the consolidation. Once the profit-taking (gold up 33% and silver up 40% over last 12 months) happens, I will begin my re-entry @ $18 with about 20% of the $. I will continue buying on the way down in the same 20% increments. I'll be happy with an average of $17/oz. Even though I had an average of just under $16 on my last purchase, I still come out ahead.

As the schmedia continues to proclaim Obama the sure winner of the Democratic nomination, let UncleNutJob point a few things out that are being left mostly unsaid…
1st of all, including Florida and Michigan, Hillary Clinton has the most total popular vote. She has won 19 primaries, while Obama has only won 15. Obama did dominate the caucuses, however, the majority of those states are long-time Republican strongholds which neither he or Hillary will be able to win in the general election. Speaking of the general election, most of us are aware of the stupid Electoral College format. For those who are not, the general election is won by accumulating at least 270 ‘points’. These points are distributed state-by-state based loosely on population in a “winner-take-all” format. As an example, Vermont has 3 compared to 55 for California. The top 7 state totals are as follows: California (55), Texas (34), New York (31), Florida (27), Pennsylvania (21), Illinois (21) and Ohio (20). Of these CRUCIAL states, Hillary has won 6, Obama 1 (Illinois). Current polls show either Hillary or Obama will defeat McCain in Illinois during the general election. In addition, Hillary’s 19 primary victories total 329 Electoral votes while Obama’s 15 equal only 133. If you give him ALL the caucus states (most of which will vote Republican), that total reaches only 202.
Don’t let these numbers mislead you, as some states these Democrats won during the primaries will not vote for either Democrat in November. Current polls show that in a head-to-head match, Hillary has around 210 Electoral votes verses McCain, while Obama holds only 195. The remaining states in each case are either Rebublican or “swing states.” These swing states are currently too close to call for either a donkey or an elephant.

There are a few states that are referred to as “bell-weather’ states. This means these states are considered to be EXTREMELY accurate gauges determining the outcome of the general election. The top 3 in this category are Ohio, Florida and Kentucky. As an example, since 1912, Ohio has voted for the winner EVERY TIME except one. In addition, NO Democrat has ever won the election without collecting BOTH Ohio and Kentucky. This year, Hillary has won ALL 3 state’s primaries. In the head-to-head verses McCain, polls show Obama losing to McCain in Kentucky, while Ohio and Florida are considered “swing.” In contrast, Hillary would win Ohio and Florida, while Kentucky lies as a “swing state.” Again, the clear advantage is Hillary.

Another key category momentum. While the schmedia continues to bash Clinton for staying in a race she ‘can’t win’, she has taken the last 3 out of 4, 4 out of 6, 5 out of 8 and 7 out of 10. These include such powerhouses as Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.

To recap, Hillary has the advantage in popular vote, total primaries, likely electoral college votes and momentum. This has all happened in a race where she had to continually endure the “it’s all over for Clinton” cries from the schmedia. If UncleNutJob can figure this out, wouldn’t you think some of the political ‘lifers’ in the Democratic party might be talking about this as the national convention approaches?

I apologize for my lack of interaction as of late. Since I last left a posting, I played at the Pendleton Spring Poker Round-Up. I entered 2 events, the $500 and $1000 main event No Limit Texas Hold-em tournaments. Each tourney had about 300 entrants including many pros. At one point in the main event, there were at total of 7 WSOP bracelets at my table. I managed to outlast them all, cashing in both events. There was only 1 other person who managed to cash in both of these (2 largest buy-ins). It was a great confidence-builder as I prepare to go to the World Series in June...
Other than that, the only other major event in my life was foolishly participating in "Drunken Tuesday." This involves starting before noon and bouncing all thru town drinking at all the pubs, taverns and lounges in town (some more than once.) Somewhere between 3AM and 6AM Wednesday morning, UncleNutJob managed to fall down and crack his knee-cap. After using a cane for over a week, I am proud to say I am carrying on with an almost imperceptible limp. cheers!!!

Wierd...looks like silver dropped to 18.50. so far, the low i've seen for the day is 18.28. It's time kids! Start your re-entry. Take more at 18 and even more at 17.50. I doubt it gets as low as 17, so get more at 17.25. If it does hit 17, take as much as you can get. That would be a 23% correction in a VERY SHORT time-frame. you won't see more than that in this blow-off. There are simply too many people on the sidelines who have gotten out of the stock market(at least partially) and have been waiting for a dip to buy in. THIS IS THAT DIP!!!

Authorities are considering charges in the bizarre case of a woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years -- so long that her body was stuck to the seat by the time the man finally called police.

It appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat, said Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple. The woman initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.

"We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it."

For the third day in a row, silver pushes higher. Also, for the third day in a row, it gains a HIGHER percentage than gold! Gold has risen about $40/oz (4%) in the last few days while silver has gained about $2/oz (10%). We are simultaneously approaching $20/oz silver AND $1000/oz gold. These are OBVIOUS natural resistance levels. Combine that with gains equal to or better than annual returns on an average mutual fund and you can count on one thing...A PROFIT-TAKING SELL-OFF!!! Yes, UncleNutJob says it's time to sell, sell, sell! It's possible the masses let them hit $20.50 and $1010, but I'd say it's risky to wait for it. The new bottoms should be $17.50/$18 and $900/$925. Jump back in at these levels and INCREASE YOUR POSITION without investing an extra penny. Then you can catch the next wave back up. I'll go out on a limb and say we should see $21.50/$22 silver and $1100 gold before the next big sell-off in May.

So silver continues it's move toward $20/oz. After a big push yesterday, silver moves up another 50 cents and is sitting at about $19.25. The US Dollar also falls against everything but the Mexican Peso today. Not only have we officially dropped to less than the Canadian Dollar, but the Austrailian Dollar and the Swiss Franc are right on our heels. With inflation continuing to rise as old Bernanke keeps running the printing presses day and night, I predict they, too, will surpass the US Dollar by May of this year...

So it looks like a good start. Silver rose 50 cents Tuesday, or about HALFWAY to $18. 'Aftermarket' shows fluctuation from 17.50-17.60. One more push like today and it's $18. I'm actually leaning more towards Thurs/Fri. If it blasts right through on Wednesday, it'd be a good time to dump some. Then you can buy back MORE for the same amount of money at $16ish...

Overall, it appears we will see $20/oz threatened before the pre-summer sell-off.

I can't exactly say why, but I feel as if this is the week SILVER will break $18/oz. Call it an insider tip ;) Just kidding, no-one on the inside will return my calls. So call it a hunch... unless that's a little too "heeby-jeeby" for ya. In that case, just get a Mutual Fund with JP Morgan or Charles Schwabb. That'll get you a nice consistant 5-7% annual return....while the US dollar loses over 15% on average to currencies worldwide.

OR... trade in your fake money for REAL MONEY!!!

At $18+ there will be another sell-off. This sell-off should be a little stronger than last time. Expect it to threaten it's new bottom of around $15/$15.50. However, if it happens to shoot through $18.50 in the next push, UncleNutJob says to slide your resistance point up to $16/$16.50. In either scenario, don't expect the sell-off to last very long. Many people are exiting their stock positions and looking for a place to protect their net worth. A LARGE percentage of this money will go into metals, and is on the sidelines right now waiting for the next good dip...

Obama sweeps!...but Hillary still ahead. Like I said B4, it would take around an 80% average take in order for either Dem to win the 2025 delegates required. Also, like I said, it won't happen. Therefore, like I said, get ready for Queen Hillary and her socialist regime. Don't listen to all the BS that only Obama can defeat McInsane. He can't win. Have you heard him speak? The only thing he's able to make clear is his belief in a LONG, LONG war in Iraq AND a likely war in Iran...
correct me if I'm wrong, but American approval of continued war is at LESS THAN A THIRD. How does one win with that platform? The simple answer is THEY DON'T!

Look, the only way there's even a REMOTE chance that Hillary loses the general election is if Ron Paul runs as an Independant with Huckabee as VP. The conservatives would probably support that over McInsane and I think a large percentage of Obama followers would support that ticket over Hillary as well. Check back as I give a more in-depth analysis of this (highly unlikely) scenario.... In the meantime, see what happened since Romney dropped out? Huck almost swept (and still has a chance to with Washington). Also, with 87% reporting, the difference between support fot Paul, Huck and McCain is EXTREMELY slim.

So even tho Romney dropped out, looks like there is still a chance that McCain falls short of the required delegate total...and it's definately going to be the case for the Democrats. Welcome to a Representative Republic.

A "First" that no-one's talking about...

Let me explain how nobody's vote in the primaries meant anything.
In order to "win" or capture the Democratic nomination, a candidate MUST EARN 2025 delegate votes. These, like electoral college votes, are dispersed in varying amounts amongst the individual states (and territories).
After Super-Duper-Ginormous Tuesday, the count stands as follows:

Hillary - 823
Obama - 741

Neither candidate is even half-way there. More than half of the states have already had primaries including California and New York which have large amounts of total delegate votes.

Unless one of them concedes, neither will make the official finish line. When this happens, it goes to the Democratic National Convention. At this point, it is handed over to the Super-delegates. (Governors, Senators, etc). Ultimately, it is what these select few decide, regardless of the total outcome in the primaries. Hypothetically, if Obama were to finish strong and surpass Hillary in total delegate votes, he most likely would not have 2025 total. Therefore, when reverting back to the Super-delegates, Hillary could be selected.
In fact, as I have been talking about for awhile, Hillary started of with an estimated 100pt lead in 'Supers.' On Monday, most front page (paper/website) delegate counts showed Obama AHEAD of Hillary. I believe it was what, 63 - 48? When in reality it was Hillary 200+ - Obama 120ish. Now we finally see the total (including supers) being reported.

On the Republican side, we have the following:

McCain - 680
Romney - 270
Huckabee - 176
Paul - 16

The magic number for the Republicans is 1191. So McCain is within reach. He solidified this by dominating the "winner-take-all" states. However, as neither Romney or Huckabee sounds willing to fold their cards, there's no guarentee. If they continue to hack up the votes, this race too could be decided at the Republican National Convention...NOT BY CITIZEN VOTE! Just think, we could actually have two "official" A or B candidates that are not who the popular vote deemed the winner. Sound familiar? It could happen. The Republicans could concede that McCain is too nutty, or at least that he couldn't pull enough of the conservative vote. If they chose to, they could select Romney with Huckabee as VP, and offer McCain a post and some extra grease for the future. On the Democratic side, if Obama actually nudges Hillary out by a few delegate votes, the 'Supers' will fall in Hillary's favor.
Remember, this to illustrate possibility, not probability. Likely, Hillary will retain her lead while falling short of the official finishing line. In this scenario, it will appear a mere 'formality' that the "Supers" approve the same candidate the citizens voted for.
McCain will likely receive the 1191 he needs to secure the nomination.

Battle to the finish...

pretty slim edge. However, this battle is just for the shmedia to blow outta proportion. The delegate votes are chopped up so neither candidate gained anything really. None of it really matters at this point, cuz this year's candidate will be selected by the 'super-delegates', not by citizen vote... more on that in a future post.

McCain Dominates the WTA arena

This is interesting in more than one way. See, Obama is leading the Democratic race there at the momoent by a strong margin. If this is true nationwide, would Obama followers back an Independant Ron Paul instead of Hillary or McInsane? This is a unique barometer to watch...

Hillary will solidify her lead. Obama will continue getting a respectable amount in most states, but it won't be enough to defeat Camp Clinton. Watch for Montana and Alaska to be Ron Paul's strongest stands. To my amazement, America will rally behind "Insane" John McCain. The real question is does Hillary select Edwards or Obama as VP? It can't legally be Bill...What about Gore? That's allowed. We should just make the rest of the primaries votes for Hillary's VP.
I'm also pretty sure McCain will take Giulianni, which is pitiful. Ol' Rudy finished at the bottom of almost every primary....good luck against the Clinton machine! Watch and compare how often vs not the 'G'man is in the shot behind McCain. Rudy dropped out with somewhere around $10 million in campaign funds that would slide nicely into the McCain war-chest...I'm pretty sure he's tired of being mayor.

Canadian Alchemy

As the value of nickel continues to escalate, I decided to write a little piece on the intriguing concept of nickel bullion.

Many older Canadian nickels have the unique feature of actually being made out of nickel. As Canada is a primary producer of nickel, for many years these coins were minted out of .999 nickel, now making them much more valuable than the face value based on metal content alone. The Royal Canadian Mint has not made pure nickel coins since 1981 when they moved to cupronickel (75% copper/25% nickel). In 2000 they switched to nickel plated steel.

Like so called "junk silver" coins, they have begun to become collectors items due to the fact that they are worth more "dead than alive". While it is currently illegal to melt Canadian nickels in Canada, many people believe that they have a premium value due to content and have begun trading at a premium to face value, much like the "junk silver" coins of the '60's and earlier.

Unlike "junk silver" coins, nickels struck in nickel are pure, making them much more tradeable, as no secondary metal has to be seperated out of them to establish a true value (thus eliminating smelting fees of around 10%). Also, with each coin weighing 4.54 grams, they divide very nicely into even lots. 100 Canadian nickels = 1 pound of pure nickel. For these reasons (as well as not having to break any existing laws), these Canadian nickels are EVEN BETTER than the "junk silver" US and Canadian coins.

The numbers below were mapped out according to spot prices at the close of 1/28/08. As the price for these base metals continue to rise, so will the INSTANT PROFIT.

Democrats: OBAMA - 63(46%), HILLARY - 48(35%), Edwards - 26(19%)
the ACTUAL score (including Super Delegates) is:
Hillary - 230(52%), OBAMA - 152(34%), Edwards - 61(14%)

Republicans: Romney - 67, McCain - 38,, Huckabee - 26
the Actual score is Romney - 73, McCain - 38, Huckabee - 29, Ron Paul - 6, Giuliani - 2

In South Carolina today, John McCain took 33% of the vote and received 19 of 24 total delegate votes (79%) while Huckabee earned only 5 delegate votes(21%) while receiving 30% of the total votes.... pretty sneaky. And though Ron Paul pulled over 15,000 votes (4%), he is given no delegate votes (0%). If the delegate votes had been spread proportionately according to the ACTUAL VOTE OF THE CITIZENS, McCain and Huckabee would be dead-locked in 2nd place over-all so far, with Ron Paul gaining a little more ground. Instead, McCain jumps into 2nd place, while Paul gains nothing for his 15,000+ votes. America...what a country!!!
S. Carolina will hold it's Democratic primary on the 26th, followed by Florida Republicans on the 29th. (Florida will deliver NO delegate votes to the Democrats and only HALF of its normal amount to the Republicans. This is how each national party punishes each state for moving their date forward in an effort to have more effect on the outcome)
Hopefully Oregon passes it's legislation to move our date forward to Feb 5th. After all, when you are one of the last states to vote in the primaries/caucuses, the decision has already been made. So we should give up ALL our DEM votes & HALF our Repub votes this time around so we may have some sort of effect on future elections.

A Tax Teaser To Share Far And Wide

If you can't solve this riddle, then we suggest you deliver it by EMAIL, FAX, U.S.P.S., or BY HAND to your Tax Professional, preferably one who is an "Enrolled Agent" with the IRS. It'll make his day!

1. The United States Code Annotated is a multi-volume publication that includes the complete text of the United States Code, together with case notes of state and federal decisions that demonstrate the application of specific sections of United States law and provide cross references to related sections, historical notes and library references. The United States Code Annotated is perhaps the publication most widely used by attorneys, legal scholars and others researching United States law, and has been in use at least as long as the income tax laws have been on the books. Is this a fair statement?

2. In the index to the Annotated Code, under the heading 'Citizens' you will find the subheading 'Citizenship'. Under 'Citizenship', if you scan carefully for all cites that contain a "26" in bold type (That would be Title 26 United States Code or the Internal Revenue Code), you will only find two cites, both referencing a 'gift tax'. If there is a reference to the "gift tax" under "Citizenship", then why is there no reference to the 'income tax' under that same heading?

3. Now then, if we go to the index heading 'INCOME TAX' under the subheading for 'Citizens', we note that there are only two cites: (a) citizens about to depart the United States and (b) citizens living abroad. Why do the only two references to "income tax" for "citizens" have to do with those citizens about to leave the country and those citizens living abroad?

4. Next, under 'INCOME TAX', following the subheading 'Aliens', we find a cross-reference to the major heading 'ALIENS' in the index. Under that heading 'ALIENS', there is a subheading entitled 'Income tax', and there we find some NINE PAGES of Title 26 laws that apply to 'aliens'. Among the Internal Revenue (Title 26) laws affecting 'aliens' are such familiar tax terms as 'deductions', 'exemptions', 'gross income', 'joint returns', and 'withholding of tax'.

5. After some 80 years or better, why does the index of the United States Code Annotated seem to show that the 'income tax' applies only to 'aliens'?

P.S. Why is it that the only court which has been given jurisdiction of Title 26 crimes is the U.S. District Court in Guam? See 48 USC 1421.

HORSEPUCKY!!! This bull still has alot of room to run...
I'd say that we will see a sell-off this week at $16.50 - $16.75. The new bottom support price should be right around $15 (+/- 50cents). What does that mean? If u already got in, go ahead and dump it at $16.50 and buy it back after the selloff at around $15 - $15.50. If u foolishly ignored uncle nutjob (like the rest of the world), u can make it up to yourself (and more importantly... to me) by jumping in headfirst after this next profit-taking sell-off. The next resistance point will be $18, so that leaves u room for a quick 20% return by spring.
Then you can buy back your position in the summer (july should be good) when it probably comes back to a $15 - $16 bottom.
